Beach To Bush Ride Schedule:

Day 1

The Entrance to the Hunter Valley, Pokolbin – 144 km

Day 1 commences from the foreshores of The Entrance at the front of the Oaks Waterfont Resort and takes riders north around the Tuggerah Lake and through the Wyong State Forest and into the majestic country side of Yarramalong. Riders will take on the steep 4km Bumble Hill Climb at the base of the Yarramalong Valley before receiving a well deserved coffee at Jerrys Café, Kulnura. From there its off along the George Downs Rd and the Great North Rd through the townships of Bucketty, Laguna and onto Wollombi where lunch awaits. Then its back on the bike to Cessnock and then bedding down for the night but not before a good feed and a cold beer.

Day 2

Pokolbin to Scone – 157 km

Day 2 commences from where Day 1 left off; riders will leave the vineyards of Pokolbin and make their way to Scone. The country side is breathtaking. Riders will head from Cypress Lakes through East Branxton, Eldserlie and onto Singleton for a coffee stop. The journey to get to Singleton from Pokolbin is scenic and a wonderful mix of vineyard and lush rural countryside. From here riders will dance around the New England Hwy and through the towns of Obanvale, Bridgman, Greenlands, Falbrook and Hebden before stopping for a very well deserved lunch in Muswellbrook. To finish, it’s a short spin into Scone through Dartbrook. From here the tranquility of The Entrance will be long gone and the real purpose of the ride will be ever so evident.

This route is a challenging and undulating course and is designed to test riders and give them a sense of purpose as they align their efforts to those of the farmers and families they support.

Support

The B2B is a fully supported ride and will be managed by Entoure. Entoure has been managing boutique cycle events within the charitable sector since 2008 and is a leader in its field. The support will include experienced drivers, ride mechanics, and medical support so all you need to do is start pedaling and get fit and of course raise funds and awareness.
